We’ve sold out of our Japan preorders for the third time. Three times! 🥢

To everyone who’s ordered Umami Everything, come back for more, or told a friend about us, thank you. I’m building Azabu Foods one batch at a time, and seeing something I’ve spent so long working on find a place in your kitchens feels pretty incredible.

It also means I need to make more. A good problem to have.

Made in Japan. Finding its way into more kitchens.

Azabu Foods started here in Tokyo, and Umami Everything is made here in Japan. So getting it into the hands of people here has been a particularly fun part of the journey.

Preorders have given us a way to do that while we work toward the next step. Our goal is to bring Umami Everything to stores in Japan in 2027, making it easier to pick up a jar when you need one.

And if you’re anything like me, that might be sooner than you expected. Eggs, noodles, pizza, your favorite protein. Even ice cream. Once you start finding things to spoon it onto, the jar goes pretty quickly.

And yes, America, we’re working on you too.

We’re preparing for our U.S. relaunch, with plans to make Umami Everything available online for customers on the West Coast in 2027.

There’s still work ahead on both sides of the Pacific. I’ll share timing, where to buy, and the details as they’re confirmed. For now, I’m excited to see this little company taking its next steps in the country where we make our food and the country where I grew up.
